The Community Design Center was founded in 1969 by a group of Knoxville-based architects, landscape architects, planners, an attorney and a sociologist with a mission to supply professional architectural and design services to people and organizations that traditionally couldn’t afford those services. Founding members discuss the CDC's history and its role in East Tennessee.
