A world of curiosities and surprises, where, every day, creatures big and small bite off more than they can chew.
(pea-rexes growling) Join us as we follow the adventures of Ginger, a young tricarrotops, and her unlikely little friends, three baby pea-rexes, Wasabi, Split, and Minty, as they discover the many wonders that exist in this vast valley!
- Woohoo!
This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle music) (insects chirping) - Whoa!
Oh, no.
It's not ripe yet, but I haven't had a yummy drop in so long and it's nearly ready, right?
(playful music) I'm pretty sure just one won't hurt.
- [Narrator] Eating yummy drops before they ripen can cause tummy troubles for tricarrotops.
Mm.
Ah!
Ooh.
(playful music continues) (PeaRexes gasp) Mm.
So yummy.
(stomach gurgling) (PeaRexes speaking gibberish) - Oh, no.
(stomach gurgling) (PeaRexes gasp) - [Narrator] Even a small amount of unripe yummy drops can make a Vegesaur quite unwell.
- Why didn't you tell me not to eat it?
(stomach gurgles and squeaks) (playful music continues) (PeaRexes laughing) It's not funny.
My tummy is really sad.
(PeaRexes laughing) What I really need is peppermint.
It fixes sore tummies.
Problem is peppermint only grows in one place.
- [Narrator] Peppermint thrives in a humid, elevated sun position, which, in Vegesaur Valley, is right on top of the Bananaraptors' lair.
(Ginger grunts) - I can't believe I'm letting you do this.
(playful music continues) Remember, stay together and stick to the plan!
(energetic playful music) (stomach gurgling) (ginger moans) (playful music continues) (feet tapping) (PeaRexes grunting) (playful music continues) (PeaRexes grunting) (PeaRexes grunting) (playful music intensifies) (PeaRexes grunting) - [Narrator] Bananaraptors are territorial by nature.
If the PeaRexes are discovered, they'll be captured and no doubt devoured!
(Bananaraptors speaking gibberish) (PeaRexes huffing) (Bananaraptors giggle) - Oh, no.
(energetic music) That was way too close.
And where's Minty?
(Bananaraptors speaking gibberish) - Come on, come on, come on!
(Bananaraptor giggles) (energetic music continues) Oh.
(stomach gurgling) Minty, Where are you?
(graphics whoosh) - Ah.
- [Narrator] This PeaRex is now on a solo mission to fetch the peppermint.
(Minty huffing) (Minty giggles) (suspenseful music) (Bananaraptor speaking gibberish) - Minty, no!
(Bananaraptor giggling) (Minty grunts) - [Narrator] One lone PeaRex is barely a snack.
They'll keep hunting until they have enough for a whole meal.
- We're going in.
(invigorating music) (stomach gurgling) (Ginger moans) Ow.
(Bananaraptors growling) (suspenseful music) - [Narrator] The temptation of more PeaRexes lures the Bananaraptors away from their catch.
(Bananaraptor speaking gibberish) (playful music) (Minty giggles) (PeaRex spits) (Bananaraptor and PeaRex huffing) (PeaRex giggling) (playful music continues) (PeaRex huffing) (playful music continues) (stomach gurgles) - Minty, here I come.
Ready or not.
Whoa!
(water splashes) Ah!
(invigorating music) (Ginger breathing heavily) - [Minty] Wee!
(Minty giggles) (Bananaraptors grunt) (playful music) - Ay!
(energetic music) (Bananaraptors moan) (Bananaraptors speaking gibberish) - Quick!
Let's go!
(energetic music continues) (PeaRexes cheering) - Mm.
(slurps) I'm feeling so much better now.
(burps) Thanks so much (burps) for your help.
- [Narrator] It sounds like peppermint has done its job.
(PeaRexes giggling) - [Ginger] Pardon me.
(PeaRexes giggling) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - [Narrator] Cornasaurolophus are lively creatures and can often be found playing together in the grassy tundra.
Every year, young cornasaurolophus migrate to the hot rocks below Mount Vegetoa for a popping ceremony.
Here they pop their yellow kernels and make way for fresh regrowth.
It's all part of growing up.
(kernels popping) - [Narrator] It's the late Crunchiest period, when the world was dominated by the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet, the mighty "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) Vegesaur Valley is experiencing an unusual cold snap.
Temperatures are at freezing point.
And right now, feeling the cold as much as anyone, is Ginger.
- (shivering) I can't feel my horns.
So numb!
And my tail has frozen!
(Ginger grunts) (pea-rexes' teeth chattering) - [Narrator] Pea-rexes have low fat reserves.
Ideal for speed and agility, but not good for keeping warm.
It's so cold, Minty's eyelids are frozen open.
- (gasps) Oh no.
- [Narrator] Unless the baby pea-rexes get warm soon, they risk being completely frozen.
- Okay.
we just need to keep moving until morning, and then the sun will do its nice, warmy thing.
Come on.
Jog on the spot with me!
That's it!
Legs nice and high!
Work those thighs!
(pea-rexes gently thump and continue chattering) Come on, brain.
I need an idea.
A good one!
Oh.
we need to get to that hot place.
But it's so far away.
(gentle glimmering sound) Huh?
Hey, the lake is frozen!
Come on, hang in there.
This might just work!
Okay, here we go.
Ha ha!
Rock solid!
We'll be there in no time!
Whoa!
- [Narrator] Although the frozen lake provides a shortcut to the volcano, it's not without its danger.
(cucumberdile snarls) - Whoa.
Hiya!
- [Narrator] The pea-rexes sudden and rapid movement has got their blood flowing again!
The baby pea-rexes are back to their racing green!
(cucumberdile softly growls) - [Ginger] Yeah!
Way to keep warm!
(pea-rexes giggling softly) (cucumberdiles chomping) - Woo!
Woohoo!
You're amazing!
(laughs) (pea-rexes cheering) (Ginger giggling) - Nice one, Minty!
10 outta 10!
Hey, Minty!
Check this out!
Ooh!
(ice cracking) Uh-oh.
- [Narrator] If they don't get off the ice now, they risk falling into the freezing water below!
We gotta get to shore!
Quick!
(panting) Oh no, it's coming!
Faster!
Oof!
(ice cracking) That was close.
- [Narrator] The coldest part of the night is always just before the dawn.
- (sighs) We've got to find another way to keep you warm.
Hello, sunshine!
(bokchoydactyl calling) (Ginger panting and giggling) Hold on!
Here it comes!
(Split sighs) - [Narrator] From snap-frozen to warm and steamy.
- Oh yeah.
That's the warm stuff.
- [Narrator] Ginger and the peas have survived one of nature's toughest tests.
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Let's sing a song together!
(laughs) Hiya!
